Many thanks to all those who have added or suggested events, meetings, outings and get togethers for the calendar. I reckon I’m about a third of the way through speaking to all the groups who regularly provide things to do and see in Reddish so there’s still fair way to go. And that’s before I factor in all those I’m as yet completely unaware of!
The Art Bazaar at Arc on Greg Street continues weekdays until 20 December with late night opening on Thursdays until 7pm. If you’re not familiar with the work that Arc does in Reddish and around Stockport, their website is well worth a visit: www.artsforrecovery.com. Living proof that art changes lives.
Christmas Folk Train
The Friends of Reddish South Station [FoRSS] Christmas Folk Train leaves from Reddish South Station at 10:20am on Friday 21 December. Live music from the resident folk trio all the way to Stalybridge. See the Christmas Folk Train event page for more information and contact details for the organisers.
Brass Band Carols
The Reddish Brass Band rehearse throughout the year at St Elisbeth’s Church and come Christmas time they like to return the favour by playing a special concert of Yuletide favourites. It’s all accompanied by mulled wine and mince pies. Admission is £5 with money going towards installing a new ramp so everyone can have easy access to the church all year round. See the Brass Band Carols event page for full details.
